OneDay Dallas Notification
Over the next several days, 75% of Sanitation Services’ residential customers will receive a letter notifying them of the service change to OneDAY Dallas, the city’s weekly garbage and recycling collection service. A sample of the letter is attached.
At the bottom of the letter is a red box which impacts about 9,000 households, telling them of a point-of-collection change. The point-of-collection change only applies to those households which currently have bagged garbage service (rather than roll carts) in their alleys. On March 1, these bagged service customers must put their garbage in city-issued garbage roll carts –which the City will deliver in February-- and place those carts on the curbs in front of their homes for collection.
Residents who do not have bagged service as described above will not have their points of collection changed under OneDAYDallas.
