DPD Seeks donations for Farmer's Market

R. Blake Ramick Top Dallas police officials plan to seek private donations to help open a storefront office near The Bridge homeless center, something local property owners say is desperately needed to curb crime they connect to the city shelter.
During a meeting at the Farmers Market on Wednesday morning, police Lt. Anthony Williams told surrounding business and property owners that a steady police presence in the area is needed.
"The fixed-base operation would benefit the central business district in its entirety if we were down in the Farmers Market," he said.
