Our New Neighbhor: Villy Customs

A few days ago Tammy G. welcomed Fleetwood to the area. This was his reply:

Our shop was formally located at Mockingbird/Central and we had to move due to SMU tearing the building down. I've owned this property (1407 S. Akard) since 1999 so we've decided to give it a try down here. (Lucky for us! We're glad to have you.) The game plan is to create a cruiser bike boutique (showroom) coupled with BBQ / Beer / hangout spot - but more "family" oriented. Clarence over at Baby Back Shak is teaming with us on the BBQ. Additionally, our spot will be Dog Friendly with free wifi and a large roof deck with a panoramic view of downtown. We definitely hope to get support of the community as I feel this could and will be a big draw for the Cedars neighborhood. We won several prestigious honors at our previous location, including "Sweetest Things of Daily Candy" and Best New Bike Shop by Dallas Observer. I have the DMN doing a front page business feature on our bike brand at the end of the month! Once we are set up we will organize a weekly group cruiser bike ride (bring your own bike) on either every Wednesday or Thursday night and pick a few spots to visit around the Cedars/Downtown areas of town.
