The Cedars Art Gallery is finding new ways to energize the Dallas art scene. After three years, and over a dozen art shows, we've learned a bit about how we can best serve our local artists.

In addition to hosting several shows involving established artists with international reputations, we're proud of having hosted a number of local artists' first solo shows, and served to introduce other fine talent in our group shows. We strive to continue this tradition of providing a great venue for artists at any stage of their careers.

To that end, we are exploring a new concept for us: that of renting the gallery to select artists at affordable rates. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for artists to display their work and reap the rewards for their labors. Rather than take a percentage of sales revenue, we will explore a rental price structure that makes it easy for artists to use the gallery. All fees to the gallery will be fixed and "up front."

Our niche as we see it is to provide a wide variety of fine artists a place to show their work. We don't cater to a specific, limited market, but rather to a wide range of tastes and interests in collecting original, quality fine art. However, presenting quality, sincere artwork will continue to be our foremost mission. We will still carefully select the artists and the artwork that hangs in the gallery.

Our fee schedule is below. Please let us know if you have questions, we want to stay flexible to meet your needs. If you are interested, please e-mail us with a link to samples of your work.

Gallery Rental Fees

Fees:
· $50 for any use up to three hours in length; for teaching, workshops, demonstrations, etc;
· $250 per day for any use that exceeds three hours; this could include a one day art exhibit, or longer workshop.
· $500 for a weekend show or workshop (noon Friday to 11 pm Saturday); this would allow more time for set-up and an opportunity for more exposure.
· These fees remain the same regardless of the number of participants. Therefore, the price per artist gets lower as more artists participate.
· These prices are for the rental space only. If you wish for us to provide food, alcohol, security, parking, or any other amenities, please contact us for pricing.

Additionally:
· The Gallery must approve all food and alcohol offerings in advance.
· Alcohol may not be sold in the Gallery except through a licensed caterer.
· No open bar events; for events that provide more than 6 bottles of wine, or any hard liquor, a bartender must serve the alcohol.
· All events must end by 11 pm.

These costs will be deducted from the damage deposit, or, if the deposit is not sufficient to cover the damages, the costs will be billed to the renter, due upon receipt.
