DEAL DAY
The Dallas Small Business Development Center, the North Texas Specialty Centers and the Bill Priest Institute of El Centro College will be hosting the 6th annual “Deal Day” on Tuesday August 4 from 9 am until 3 pm at the Bill Priest Institute, 1402 Corinth St., room 1530, Dallas TX 75215.

The purpose of this event is to introduce business people to active SBA lenders and other funding agencies. We hope you will join us.

The theme of this year’s event will be “The Power of Planning”. We will open with a brief overview of the SBDC’s and the purpose of Deal Day. Senator Royce West, Dr. Wright Lassiter, Chancellor of the Dallas County Community College District and Mr. Herb Austin, District Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration, will speak, as well as Mr. Thomas Walker, representing the Governor’s office.

The program will feature:
Vice President Karen Thompson of Amegy Bank, who will discuss preparing effective business plans for a loan and how to utilize financial statements in the planning process. SBDC awards to startups and existing businesses that recently secured a loan or excelled in other areas.
